A FAIN node does not simply publish sensor values. Each bounded signal must preserve what it represents, where it originated, when it was established, which record class it belongs to, what limitations travel with it, what jurisdiction governs its use, and whether later reliance remains admissible.
Every participating source remains attributable to a bounded local node.
AIR, PAIR, ambient network signal, event evidence, or advisory context are not interchangeable.
Currentness, chronology, transitions and unresolved gaps remain visible.
Source lineage, instrument context and declared limitations travel with federation.
Cross-boundary availability does not erase local legal, institutional or contractual authority.
Receiving a signal does not automatically authorize diagnosis, intervention or execution.
