Publicly described as a community-powered platform for environmental experience and healthier-space information, with ambitions for larger environmental datasets.
INVIVUS · MOLDMAP × AERLUME · ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION → CONSEQUENCE
When the sensor sees something,
what happens next?
Invivus is building Moldmap as an environmental-information platform and developing Aerlume as a handheld electronic-nose concept for real-time mold-related sensing. Justin Carlson has also described a future in which environmental data, sensors and robotics could help identify, assess and remediate problematic buildings at scale. TA-14 examines the boundary before information becomes a physical consequence.
01 · THE INFORMATION LAYER
Seeing more is powerful.
Seeing is not yet permission.
A handheld electronic nose in development. Carlson explicitly says serious research, engineering and independent validation remain ahead; concept imagery is not a finished or validated product.
Carlson has publicly discussed a longer-term framework connecting Moldmap, sensors and robotics while keeping human environmental professionals involved, especially in complex cases.
This showroom does not claim Aerlume currently detects mold reliably, diagnoses health conditions, establishes remediation necessity, or authorizes action. It preserves Invivus's own stated development and validation boundary.
02 · THE SEAM
Information can propose a consequence.
It cannot authorize one by itself.
Sensor output · user report · location pattern
Identity · provenance · calibration · continuity · scope
Applicable Authority · Established Standing · exact object/time
Inspection · notification · remediation · robot action
Verification · residual condition · new baseline
03 · EXISTING TA-14 ENVIRONMENTAL ARCHITECTURE
The sensor does not have to carry the whole burden.
TA-14 already maintains two public layers directly relevant to this examination. The Mold Risk Envelope describes the time-dependent environmental state in which mold risk becomes materially possible, persistent and consequential. Environmental Integrity Governance governs how environmental reality becomes an attributable, continuous record capable of being examined for admissibility and reliance. Neither layer is presented here as part of Invivus, Moldmap or Aerlume.
Environmental information, reports and future sensing.
Moisture · temperature · material vulnerability · recurrence · duration · recovery.
Record identity · provenance · continuity · admissibility · governed reliance.
Applicable Authority · Established Standing · exact binding · present authorization.
What changed, whether it worked, and the new environmental baseline.
The Mold Risk Envelope is not a mold diagnosis and a sensor signal is not automatically proof of contamination. The architecture separates a mold-favorable environmental state, organism-specific evidence, a proposed intervention, authority to act, and the verified result.
04 · INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT → CONSEQUENCE EXAM
Build the condition. Propose the action.
Try to cross the boundary.
This is a teaching simulation, not a mold diagnosis or an evaluation of an actual Invivus product. Change the inputs and watch the evidentiary and execution burden move.
Build the environmental condition
This describes the modeled persistence of mold-favorable environmental conditions only. It is not a scientific threshold and does not establish contamination.
What was actually observed?
Experience/location record; not proof of a building condition.
Evidence teaching strength: 1/7
What do you want reality to do?
Inspect — Recommend qualified investigation or confirmatory testing.
Execution remains blocked. Missing: evidence appropriate to this consequence · Applicable Authority · Established Standing.
Condition: PERSISTENT→EXECUTION
Locked→AFTER
Not verified
Teaching model only. Condition states and evidence/consequence indicators are explanatory interface devices, not scientific mold thresholds, product validation, legal determinations, or TA-14 certification.
05 · ONE SIGNAL · DIFFERENT CONSEQUENCES
The evidence burden changes with the action.
Show a user that a signal or pattern exists, with provenance and uncertainty preserved.
LOWER CONSEQUENCEEscalate to qualified investigation or confirmatory testing when the signal supports that next step.
BOUNDED CONSEQUENCEAlter building materials, systems or operations only after the required evidence, authority and standing are established.
PHYSICAL CONSEQUENCEA robot or automated system changes reality only inside an explicitly established execution boundary.
HIGHEST CONTROL BURDEN06 · PROPOSED JOINT EXAMINATION
Aerlume / Moldmap → governed consequence.
If Invivus chooses to participate, the first examination can remain deliberately narrow. No private code or proprietary model is required.
Select a public Moldmap or Aerlume proposition and preserve exactly what is being tested.
For example: recommend inspection, notify a responsible party, or propose remediation.
Establish what evidence, authority, standing and binding would be required before that consequence could execute.
Publish what the examination supports, what it does not support, and what remains unresolved.
OPEN INVITATION FOR CORRECTION
Justin — inspect the seam.
TA-14 created this independent surface from public statements so the proposed boundary can be inspected before any collaboration is presumed. If we represented Invivus, Moldmap or Aerlume incorrectly, correct us. If the boundary is useful, we can freeze one proposition and run one bounded examination together.
