Management-system conformity may support organizational assurance, but it does not independently prove that a specific AI action was authorized, evidence-supported, admissible, and properly executed.

STANDARD APPLICATION SEQUENCE

Conformance must be translated into evidence.

Citing a standard is not the same as proving that its requirements were adopted, implemented, verified, and bound to a specific governance decision.

01Identify

Identify the official title, publisher, version, date, and applicable edition.

02Scope

Determine the organizational, technical, lifecycle, or system boundary covered.

03Adopt

Preserve how the standard became applicable through law, contract, policy, certification, or voluntary use.

04Map

Map requirements or guidance to accountable controls, systems, owners, and evidence.

05Verify

Test whether the declared controls and outcomes are actually supported.

06Determine

Issue a bounded conclusion without overstating certification, conformity, or compliance.

07Control

Bind the conclusion to ALLOW, HOLD, DENY, or ESCALATE execution conditions.

08Preserve

Preserve the source, evidence, determination, execution, and outcome record.
